all through time, gods were dying. every god who had ever been born or ever would be. some knew why it was happening. most did not. but in their final moments, they all shared a common vision. a vision of one god, with a mighty hammer in each hand, fighting to save them all. and for one moment that stretched across time…every god in all the universe closed their eyes…and prayed to thor.
‘I came into this and called Joe and Anthony and said, “Look, don’t write me the old Thor, we’ve got a new Thor now,”’ Chris said.
He was referencing the highly acclaimed shift towards a comedic, self-referential tone he and Taika made with Ragnarok.
But instead of observing his request to keep the character’s newfound mojo alive, the Russo brothers reportedly told him they’d ‘reinvented’ the character once again.
Chris recalled his response: ‘I was like “no, no, no” and I was really protective of what I’d created with Taika.’
They explained that the new direction was in line with the higher-stakes of the Avengers film, and to ensure the character worked well in an ensemble cast.
“tony stark is selfish and only cares about himself.”
Meh, I’m pretty sure that Stark cares more about his ego half the time than any good he does. He still thinks up messed up ideas. For example, one time he designed Sentinals (you know, the genocidal robots that are made to kill mutants). While he didn’t actually make them, he made the blueprints, which were then stolen by Red Skull as you can see here:
Which is a pain as I’ve got some essays due and it means I type a lot slower. Also it means I can’t drive. However, I went to A&E and within three hours I had been seen and taken care of for free. The UK’s NHS is bloody brilliant, and probably one of the things I’m most proud of as a British person.
I love grandma activities… sleeping early, drinking tea, knitting, buying ugly sweaters and tacky clothing, gardening, feeding all the neighbourhood cats, sewing… Im all abt that!
what about grandfather culture: reading history books, smoking out of a pipe, sitting in big comfy armchairs, having your own library, getting senior size coffees at mcdonalds … that’s the real mood
Hot take: grandmather culture: reading history books, drinking tea, sitting in comfy chairs, gardening, walking the dog in the countryside - this is the shit I live for.
